Visit Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean. This old country is really interesting to visit because it has a lot of things to see and do. Sri Lanka has beaches, big mountains and old ruins that you can visit on a short drive. Sri Lanka is a place where different cultures and foods come together. It is perfect for families, couples and people traveling alone who want to go to a place. 

Exploring Old Kingdoms and Sacred Places

The center of Sri Lankas culture is in the north- part of the island. This is where you can find the Cultural Triangle. In the Cultural Triangle you can see the big rock of Sigiriya coming out of the jungle. Near Sigiriya you can visit the cities of Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. These cities have water systems and big stone buildings. The city of Kandy has a temple called the Temple of the Tooth Relic that people from all over the world visit. On the southwest coast there is a city called Galle that has nice old Dutch buildings inside its big walls. 

Traveling Through Mountains and Tea Fields

The middle of Sri Lanka is cool. Has nice green landscapes. The train ride from Kandy to Ella is very beautiful. You can see waterfalls, deep valleys and tea fields on this train ride. If you like adventure you can hike to the top of Adams Peak or Little Adams Peak. Sri Lanka is famous for its tea. You can visit tea factories to learn about tea and taste it. 

Fun on the Coast. Seeing Wild Animals

Sri Lanka has a long coastline with many nice beaches. The towns of Mirissa and Hikkaduwa are great for surfing and seeing whales. On the east coast the water is calm and good for snorkeling and surfing. Sri Lanka also has national parks like Yala and Wilpattu where you can see wild animals, like leopards, bears and elephants. You can have a lot of fun on the coast. See wild animals, which makes Sri Lanka a great place to visit.
