The Maalu Maalu Resort & Spa which people also call the Malu Malu Hotel is a nice four-star hotel that is good for the environment. It is located on the beautiful white sand beach of Pasikuda Bay. This hotel is special because it was the fancy hotel to be built on this part of the coast. The people who designed the hotel got their ideas from a Sri Lankan fishing village. They used wood and thatch to make the hotel look like a village. They also added modern luxury things to make it feel fancy. The hotel has a lot of rooms and suites. There are forty deluxe rooms and eight special oceanfront suites. The rooms are made with materials that are good for the environment. They have air conditioning and big windows that let in lots of light. The rooms also have wooden beds and big private balconies with great views of the sea or the swimming pool. The bathrooms are really big. Have two sinks, a separate shower and a big bathtub. Some of the suites even have their private pools and steam rooms.

The hotel also has a spa called the Ayurvie Spa. This spa is on the beach and has a doctor who specializes in Ayurvedic medicine. The doctor will talk to you. Figure out what is wrong with your body. Then the therapists will give you treatments like massages and reflexology. You can also do yoga and meditation on the beach in the morning.

The hotel has a few restaurants. The main restaurant is called Karadiya. It serves a lot of different foods. There are also two restaurants right on the beach that serve seafood. The hotel can also arrange for you to go on fun trips like snorkeling, diving and whale watching. You can even go on a bike ride through the villages.
