Elite Island Arrival

My Luxury Sri Lanka Holidays start soon as I land at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake. I get to use a private VIP customs clearance . so I do not have to wait in the queues, which makes my entry into the country really smooth. My own dedicated chauffeur is waiting for me at the arrival terminal and I get to ride in a nice air-conditioned vehicle for all my trips around the island. The first place I go is to an old colonial manor or a nice beachfront villa in nearby Negombo. I spend my evening just relaxing by my own private pool, which helps me get over my jet lag before I start exploring.

Cultural Triangle Splendor

Then I head north to the Cultural Triangle to learn about the history of Sri Lanka in a really comfortable way. I get to take a helicopter to all the heritage sites and my luxury lodges, which saves me a lot of time. I stay in a five-star forest pavilion near Sigiriya that has its private plunge pool and a great view of the famous lion rock fortress.  As well as I get my expert guides who are Egyptologists and archaeologists and they take me on customized tours of Polonnaruwa so I can avoid the crowds. In the evenings I get to eat nice food under the stars and listen to traditional music playing softly in the background.

Tea Country Elegance

Next I travel to the highlands on a really nice train with a special observation car. I stay in an old tea planter bungalow that is managed by Resplendent Ceylon and has a butler to take care of me. The bungalow also has a fireplace that is really nice to sit by. My days are filled with tea tasting sessions walking around the beautiful estates and eating really nice food with wine. The cool mountain air is really refreshing after being in the lowlands. I also get to relax at the spa and use oils made from local herbs, which makes me feel really relaxed after my morning walks.

Coastal Sanctuary Retreat

My Luxury Sri Lanka Holidays end with a stay on the southern coast. I stay in a nice resort in Tangalle or Amanwella that has its own private pavilion with a view of the ocean and direct access, to the beach. I get to go on a yacht to see whales, which is really special because I do not have to go with a big group of people. And I spend my afternoons relaxing by the pool eating nice food on the beach and getting special wellness treatments. This last part of my trip is really great because it helps me feel completely refreshed and ready to go.
