Kite Sri Lanka is the kiteboarding and watersports center on the northwest coast of the island. They offer travelers kitesurfing experiences across big lagoons with lots of wind. The center is mainly in Kalpitiya. It is a school and eco-resort that uses Sri Lankas great wind conditions. They provide training for people who are just starting out and for advanced riders too.

The center uses great riding locations. These spots are perfect for skill levels and styles. The main Kalpitiya Lagoon has an area of flat shallow water. It is safe and easy for students to learn.
For kite riders the school organizes boat trips to Vella Island. This island has some of the wind conditions in the world. Riders can also try Kappalady Lagoon for breezes.. They can ride on the ocean waves on the outer reef breaks.

The center is an International Kite boarding Organization school. All lessons follow safety rules and use modern equipment. Students work with instructors who use radio helmets to give feedback.
The camp has an atmosphere with comfortable bungalows, a beach bar and dining spaces. Guests have dinner together every evening. They share seafood and traditional Sri Lankan food. This creates a social environment.
Wind Seasons and Travel Logistics
Planning a kite boarding holiday requires planning. The island has two wind seasons that affect the riding conditions. The main summer season is from May to October. It has winds that blow all day.
A second gentler season is from December to February. It has breezes that are great, for bigger kites and foil boarding. To get to the center take a vehicle or express bus from Colombo airport. The camp can organize airport pickups or downwind safari trips.
