Ellerton Bungalow is a nice old house that is over 110 years old. It used to be where tea planters lived. Now it is a special hotel near Kandy. People can go there to get away from everything and be in a place. The hotel is on a hill. It is 2,400 feet above the ground. It is in an area called Doluwa. The weather is really nice there. It is warm and sunny during the day. Cool at night. You do not get the humid weather that you get near the coast.
The hotel is not like hotels. It is more like going to a friends house in the country. The people who own the hotel want you to feel like you are at home. They have an area of land with tea and spice plants. You can walk around. See all the plants. The hotel is also a place to see animals that live in the hills.. You can just relax and be quiet.
The hotel has nice rooms
The hotel has a few buildings with rooms in them. The rooms are all different. They are all really nice. The old main house has rooms that’re like they used to be a long time ago. They have furniture and things in them. Some of the rooms are connected so families can stay together. There is another house called the Valley House. It has rooms that’re more modern and they have big verandahs where you can sit and look at the mountains. The hotel also has some rooms that’re just for two people. They are like houses with their own balconies. You can sit on the balcony. Watch the fireflies at night. The hotel has wifi so you can get on the internet.. It does not have air conditioning because it is not hot there.
The hotel has a nice place to eat
The hotel has a special team of chefs who make really good food. They use food that is grown locally to make meals that’re really tasty. The hotel has a dining room where you can eat. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can have Sri Lankan food or Western food. They also have wine that you can drink with your meal. In the afternoon you can have tea and cake on the terrace. There is a man who plays the flute. It is really nice.
The hotel has a nice pool
The hotel has a big pool that looks out over the valley. You can swim in the pool. Look at the mountains. The hotel also has a garden with tea and spice plants. You can walk around the garden. See all the different plants. The garden is also a place to see birds. There are a lot of kinds of birds that live there. You can borrow a bike. Ride around the area. You can also go for a hike in the mountains. The hotel can take you to a tea factory where you can learn about how tea’s made.
hotel is a little hard to get to
The hotel is in an area and it is a little hard to get to. You have to drive on a lot of winding roads to get there.. It is worth it. The hotel can pick you up from the airport or from the train station. You can also take the train from Colombo to get to the hotel. The hotel is a place to start your trip. You can go to a lot of places from there. can go to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy. You can also go to places in the hills.
