The Bluefield Tea Factory is situated 1,200 meters above sea level. This old facility offers a way to learn about Ceylon tea culture. It is a stop for people traveling between Kandy and Nuwara Eliya.

## The Bluefield Tea Experience
A standard visit to the Bluefield Tea Factory typically lasts about 1.5 to 2 hours. It covers three things:
* The Bluefield Tea Factory Tea Plucking Experience: You can walk into the fields talk to local workers and learn the traditional way of picking tea leaves. The Bluefield Tea Factory allows you to wear Sri Lankan clothes and try picking tea leaves for a great photo.
* The Bluefield Tea Factory Guided Factory Tour: A guide takes you through the factory to show you machines that still work. You will see how raw leaves are turned into tea. Tours last 15 minutes and are very educational.
